Nau mai! Haere mai! Welcome! I have recorded a message of welcome which incudes some information about te Mauri o te Māori.
A Development Consultant is trained to evoke awareness in order to encourage growth. This is achieved through regular online sessions targeted at assisting individuals who want more from life. The initial session will usually take around 90 minutes. During this session, the consultant will collaborate with the individual to create a space which cultivates and fosters trust and respect. This establishes the foundation of the relationship. Subsequent sessions are typically 60 minutes. During these sessions, the consultant will engage with the individual to identify a goal or goals, create and nurture the awareness of the individual and support the individual as they take control and move towards achieving their goal or goals.

Mauri is the life force or essence of an individual, ecosystem, social group or physical object. Mauri can also be described as energy. Harnessing this energy can lead to significant growth and motivate not only the individual, but those around them. This builds confidence and empowers the individual and their community.
Māori are the indigenous people of Aotearoa (also known as New Zealand). I utilise the Māori health and well being model of whare tapa whā which considers well-being as being connected to the taha tinana (physical), taha hinengaro (mental and emotional), taha whānau (family and social) and taha wairua (spiritual) of the individual.
Te Mauri o te Māori describes my intention as a Development Consultant. My intention is to rely on the mauri (energy) of our indigenous people to empower the individual, their whānau (family) and their communities. This will be achieved through walking beside the individual to support them as they grow and prosper during sessions and beyond.
I acknowledge the Jagera, Yuggera and Urgarapul people as the traditional owners of the land on which I live and work.
I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging. I acknowledge their survival, living culture and unique role in the life of this region.
I acknowledge these lands are stolen lands and that the people of this land did not cede sovereignty.
